Online Architecture Degree in India: with India making strong and steady strides towards becoming a power in its own rights in the world,
it is not a surprise that their colleges and universities are modernizing as well. For the interested architecture student, there is the Sir JJ
College of Architecture which is considered a premier school of architecture in India as well as in the global architectural community.

The Sir JJ College of Architecture has produced many of the founding architects of the architectural movement in India and continues
building on its reputation of excellence with partnerships with other colleges in India and with the architectural community at large.

In 2006, the Sir JJ College of Architecture began a partnership with Autodesk Inc to launch a ‘Center of Excellence’ with state of the art
computer systems and digital media.

The architectural program uses the media program in order to advance their architectural education and be a greater power in the global
architectural sense. The partnership included two state of the art computer studios with full digital software and 3-D design software for the
students and for the faculty alike. This partnership can also be used to help India build an online architectural degree in the same way as the
UK, New Zealand, America, and Canada.

With India focusing more on technology and the architectural program growing in popularity and strength, it should not be too long before
India looks at properly merging the two and putting more courses online for their students, eventually leading to an online degree.

For now, the program is being used to make sure that India keeps up with the globally accepted standard of Building Lifecycle Management
with the use of technology as a tool for architectural development.

The groundwork though is being set and will continue to be set for India to keep up with countries like Canada and the United States and this
means that in the future, there may well be an online architectural degree through the Sir JJ College of Architecture.
